Tradie website design

A website built around the way trade work comes in.

Web App Launch is a Melbourne web design studio. We design, build, host and maintain websites for trade businesses, from sole traders to teams with a few vans on the road.

Custom tradie websites

A website designed for your business from the start, with a page for each main service, the areas you cover and photos of real jobs. A customer can see what you do and contact you in a few taps.

  • A page for each service you want more of
  • The suburbs and regions you cover
  • Galleries of your own finished jobs
  • Reviews, licence and insurance details

Project galleries

Before and after photos and short notes on finished jobs, so people can judge the standard of your work.

Quote calculators

An instant estimate from a few measurements or options, worked out from your own pricing rules.

Enquiry and booking forms

Short forms that ask for the job details you need, so the first call is about the work itself.

Website redesigns

A new build when your current site is slow, dated or hard to use on a phone at the end of a job.

Hosting and maintenance

Managed hosting, security updates, backups and a direct line for the changes you want after launch.

How much does a tradie website cost?

Small business websites start from$199per month

Your itemised quote shows the pages, features, timeline, hosting and ongoing support before work starts.

A service website for one trade costs less than a site with a quote calculator, online booking or a large gallery. We price optional features separately, so the first version can stay focused on the jobs that pay.

Pages
How many services and areas the site needs to cover.
Photos and words
Whether your job photos and service details are ready or need work.
Features
Quote calculators, booking forms and other custom functions.
Ongoing care
Hosting, maintenance and the changes you want covered after launch.

Websites for every trade.

Each trade sells different jobs and gets asked different questions. A plumber's customer often needs someone today. A builder's customer is planning months ahead and comparing three quotes.

So we start with how your work comes in: the jobs that pay best, the areas you travel to, and what people ask before they book. The pages, photos and forms follow from that.

  1. Websites for plumbers

Urgent call-outs and planned work on separate pages, the suburbs you cover, and a phone number that is never more than a tap away.

  2. Websites for electricians

Your licence number on show, a page for each service from switchboards to lighting, and a form that captures the job before you call back.

  3. Websites for builders and renovators

Galleries of finished projects, the types of jobs you take on, and an enquiry form that asks about budget and timing up front.

  4. Flooring and tiling websites

Your product range, finishes and photos of laid floors, with an estimate by area for customers who want a number first.

  5. Painting and plastering websites

Interior, exterior and repair work explained clearly, with before and after photos that show the standard of your finish.

  6. Landscaping websites

Garden design, paving and maintenance set out as separate services, with galleries of finished gardens and outdoor areas.

  7. Heating and cooling websites

Installs, servicing and repairs on their own pages, with the systems you work on and the areas you cover.

Not on the list? If you quote, book or sell, we can probably help. Tell us about your business.

A price before the phone call

Quote calculators for trade businesses.

Plenty of customers want a rough number before they ring. We build quote calculators that take a few measurements or options and return an itemised estimate, worked out from your own pricing rules.

Our working example is a flooring estimator. The same engine can be shaped for tiling, painting, cabinetry, blinds and other trades with their own products and measurements.

  1. The customer picks a product or service
  2. They enter measurements or quantities
  3. Your pricing rules work out an itemised estimate
  4. They print it or download it as a branded PDF

Getting found

SEO for tradies starts with the website.

When someone searches for a tiler or an electrician near them, Google looks for a page that clearly matches the job and the area. A single page listing everything you do gives it very little to go on. That is why each main service gets its own page, with the suburbs you cover stated plainly.

Every site goes live with that groundwork done. Ongoing work on your rankings is a low-cost add-on to your plan. For searches near you, your Google Business Profile matters too. Nobody can promise a position on Google.

  • A page for each service, written in the words customers search
  • Your service area stated clearly on the pages that need it
  • Descriptive page titles and meta descriptions
  • Structured data for your business and your questions
  • A working sitemap and crawlable internal links
  • Fast pages that hold up on mobile data

Our process is five clear steps

Ask us directly
How much does a website for a tradie cost?

Small business websites start from $199 per month. The price depends on the pages, photos and features you need. A quote calculator or booking system costs more than a straightforward service website. We send an itemised quote with the timeline and ongoing fees before work starts.

How long does a tradie website take to build?

Two to four weeks is the usual range for a straightforward trade website once the scope is approved and your photos and details are ready. A quote calculator or a large gallery takes longer. Your quote includes a written timeline before anything starts.

What should a tradie website include?

Your services, the suburbs or regions you cover, photos of jobs you have done, reviews, your licence details where your trade needs them, and an easy way to call or ask for a quote. Each main service gets its own page so a customer looking for that job finds a page about it.

I already get work from word of mouth. Do I need a website?

Referrals still check you out online first. A proper site is often what turns that referral into a booked job.

I get leads from directories and Facebook. Why have my own site?

Keep them if they bring you work. Your own website is the one place you control: your services, your photos, your service area, and enquiries that come straight to you. It is also what people find when they search for your business by name.

Do you build websites for plumbers and electricians?

Yes. We build websites for most trades, including plumbers, electricians, builders, tilers, painters, landscapers and heating and cooling businesses. Each site is shaped around the jobs that trade wants more of and the questions its customers ask.

Can you add a quote tool?

Yes. We can add an instant estimate tool so customers get a number before they call.

Will my website show up on Google?

Every build includes the search groundwork: clean headings, descriptive titles and meta descriptions, structured data where it applies, a working sitemap and fast pages. Nobody can guarantee a ranking. Working on your rankings after launch is a separate add-on, priced low enough that we recommend it on every website.

Who owns the website?

The content is yours. The domain is usually registered so it can transfer to you, though that depends on what we agree. We build, host and maintain the site for an ongoing fee, and the code stays with us. Ask before you sign if you want it set up differently.

Do you only build websites for Melbourne tradies?

No. We are based in Melbourne and can meet locally when it helps. Most projects run through calls, email and a staging link, so we build websites for trade businesses across Australia.
